Gianpaolo, (known as GP) has 10 years' experience in financial services. He spent three years within a large national independent financial advisory firm initially in a research and reporting capacity, moving then to combined technical and client advisory role.

In 2003 he joined a small firm of independent advisers and stockbrokers, continuing his technical and client advisory role, specialising in investments and Inheritance Tax mitigation.

In 2005, Gianpaolo joined Higgins Fairbairn & Co in order to create and develop a financial planning department within the accountancy firm. The aim of which was and will always be, to provide high quality financial advice across a broad spectrum of areas. The intention is to continue to develop the business into a multi-generational family planning practice, committed to not only providing appropriate advice for current needs, but also to ensure that both social and economic impacts are considered within the overall planning process.

As this section of the business has grown, it warranted the move into setting up a separate firm; hence the creation of Higgins Fairbairn Advisory LLP in 2009.

Fenton Higgins

Fenton specialises in business and financial advice to corporate and personal clients. As a significant proportion of our clients run proprietor-managed businesses, it is important that, where applicable, the overall advice process dovetails to ensure the most advantageous outcomes are achieved and that taxation implications are minimised. Fenton will be actively involved with any clients looking to effect a business sale, purchase or corporate restructuring. Additional advice on tax efficient profit extraction or deferral is also available.

Bankim heads the technical department of the Higgins Fairbairn & Co accountancy practice. He is regularly brought in to provide specific tax advice or where there are complicated tax considerations which may impact upon the overall strategy. Bankim is the Tax Partner in Higgins Fairbairn & Co.

Craig Bannister

Craig Bannister

Craig Bannister joined the firm in February 2009. His work experience since graduation has been in accountancy practices both in the UK and Overseas. Originally from Greater Manchester, Craig moved to London to gain accountancy qualifications and specialise in financial advice.

Since joining Higgins Fairbairn, Craig has been studying for the financial planning exams and is hoping to be awarded Certified Financial Adviser Status. He then intends to continue his studies towards the Diploma and ultimately Chartered status.
